How long does installation take?>

About 10 minutes: peel, stick the plate, open the app, scan to connect.

Do I need any tools?>

No. Industrial adhesive only—no drilling, screws, or landlord permission.

What surfaces does the plate stick to?>

Smooth, clean, dry surfaces: metal gates, concrete, wood, tiles. Dust or rough paint can weaken stick.

Is there a monthly subscription?>

No. Pay once for hardware. After year one, optional support renewal is $10/year—not required.

How do I pay?>

Mainly M-Pesa (STK prompt on your phone). We also take card and bank transfer.

Do you offer refunds?>

Yes—full refund within 14 days if the plate is undamaged.

What's included in 'Support'?>

WhatsApp help, firmware updates, and replacement parts if something fails.

Can I upgrade my plan later?>

Yes—pay the difference to move up tiers anytime.

Does M-Pesa work?>

Yes. You get the STK prompt, confirm the amount, and you are done.

Does my visitor need to download an app?>

No. Camera on the QR code opens a normal web page—no App Store or Play Store.

What if my visitor has an old phone?>

Any smartphone with a camera and browser works—including older Tecno and Infinix on Android 7+.

Can I see the visitor before letting them in?>

Yes. Live video the moment they scan; talk to them before you tap Let in.

What happens if my internet goes down?>

Both sides need internet. If you are offline, guests see ‘User unavailable’ and can call your number instead.

Does it work on both Apple iPhones and Google Android phones?>

Yes. Hodi runs on iOS and Android; guests can scan from any camera phone.

Can I use it if I’m travelling internationally?>

Yes—with data or Wi-Fi where you are, calls work as usual.
